Yes, I am alive!

I know I haven't posted in a while.
Things have been crazy around here.
I have been very busy and have alot
to post so let me get started.

Strange how things come about...

I recently met Karen Harmych, an event and wedding planner.
She and her husband Tom have embarked upon restoring a historic
mansion built in 1910 into an elegant wedding venue and bed
and breakfast. I have been hired to photograph this beautiful
mansion for Karen's website (lucky me!) It is a beautiful house!
Here is a little history about the house...
Built in 1910 by Jesse Merser Battle and Laura Elizabeth Lee Battle.
In a book Jesse wrote he said when they were "courting" One day I
will build the largest most costly mansion in Clayton to honor my
wife, so with that being said that is where the name came from.
It will be a bed and breakfast/ wedding event venue. Packages for
just using the mansion or gardens for weddings/ events to renting
the whole house for a weekend for an event and guests can use
the bedrooms. It's a 7 bedrooms/ 5 baths around 6000 square feet,
with a seperate maids quarters. 6.5 acres of property and they are
going to have two gazebos and gardens in three areas.
Here are some of the images I created for Karen...
Stay tuned for more pictures as they are still remodeling and Karen
should have the website up and running soon. I will post
the website when she gets it going!

Mr. and Mrs. Butler

Congratulations to this sweet couple!
Kristin was beside herself when she heard the weather
forecast for her wedding day. Rain all day!!!
Well a little rain didn't stop them. You know what they
say about rain on your wedding day!
They were able to get the ceremony in before it
really started raining.

Kristin, all of your planning turned out beautifully.
Stay tuned, we will be going back to Bass Lake one
evening to create more images of Kristin and Jacob
when they get back from their honeymoon.
(when it's not raining!)

Michelle and Gardner Latta

This is such a delightful family. I feel privileged to
be considered their "Family Photographer".
I photographed Kailey and Carson last year and
was so happy when Michelle asked me to photograph
them again. They are just the cutest kids!!!
A special thank you to Julie for all her help,
entertaining the kids. You have an adorable little
girl and I can't wait to photograph her again.

My Baby

Isn't he adorable. Now that my kids are growing
up I treat him more and more like a little baby.
I think he is convinced he is human!

Martin

My nephew Martin is quite the baseball player!
He gets so excited about baseball, here are a few pics
I snapped one evening while he and Uncle Scott
were out in the yard practicing throwing the baseball.

Lloyd Family

Some of you may know the Lloyd Family!
They owned Lloyd's Dairy Farm in Efland.
This is a very loving family and I enjoyed getting
to know every one of them. There is nothing better than
a close family and that is exactly what they are.
If only every family could love each other as much
as they do. Thank you for allowing me to photograph
you all and creating a priceless family heirloom for you.
